WHY WE WRITE

Tale24 manifesto

Read less, understand more: our approach to useful, independent criticism.

Last reviewed: October 9, 2026

Attention is limited

A thoughtful reader cannot read everything. We want each Tale24 article to help make a more deliberate choice: what a book argues, why it matters and whether its limitations matter to that reader. We favor a clear judgment over a longer list of vague praise.

Criticism respects the work

Respect for authors does not require agreement. A useful review names strengths and weaknesses, places claims in context and avoids reducing a book to a slogan. It should invite readers toward the original work when that work is right for them.

Independence takes practice

We separate commercial activity from editorial conclusions, disclose relevant relationships and correct factual errors. Technology may assist research and drafting, but a human editor remains responsible for what Tale24 publishes.

Our promise to readers

  • Make the source and the limits of our knowledge visible.
  • Avoid copied content, invented evidence and disguised advertising.
  • Explain a score through the argument, not the other way around.
  • Listen to well-supported corrections and improve the article when warranted.
